Dr. Sheri L. Watkins DMD
Dr. Watkins, affectionately known as Dr. Sheri to patients and staff, has been practicing in LaBelle since 1996. Dr. Sheri is a Fort Myers native growing up right down the road in East Fort Myers. Dr. Sheri began her dental career at the age of twelve, working with her father, Dr. Robert Watkins. She continued to gain experience as a dental assistant then as a Registered Dental Hygienist graduating in 1987. In 1988, she received her Bachelor’s in Science in Biology from Florida State University. Her final goal was to become a dentist; therefore, after working as a dental hygienist for a few years, she returned to dental school in 1990. Dr. Sheri received her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University Of Florida in 1994. She returned to Fort Myers to work as an associate in her father’s practice. Two years later, she was offered the opportunity to work locally in LaBelle part-time. She quickly realized LaBelle was where she wanted to call home for her practice. In 1996, she began her full-time practice in LaBelle. Dr. Sheri is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Southwest Florida Dental Association. Her goal is always to treat the patient as a whole, encompassing total treatment with consideration to not only their oral health but also their general health and finances. Dr. Sheri’s mission is to provide thorough dental treatment in a caring, compassionate environment.
Dr. Sheri has been married for twenty-three years to her wonderful husband, Billy McDaniel. They have three children, two in college and one in high school. In her spare time, she loves the great outdoors. Her hobbies include fishing, reading, swimming, and playing board games with her family. One of her favorite activities is crazy hikes with her family, even if that means they get lost! It is all about creating memories.
Most importantly, Dr. Sheri centers her life and practice around her relationship with Jesus Christ and is actively involved with her community. She loves her patients from Hendry, Lee, and Glades county!
